In the early games, Noah Syndergaard (Update: For the second straight day, the Mets have scratched Noah Syndergaard. Matt Harvey will be starting instead.) and Justin Verlander are both great ways to start any lineup, and while they won’t come cheap, they’re clearly the best options. Carlos Martinez is always a boom-or-bust candidate, and you can live with either Edinson Volquez and Jeremy Hellickson. The most interesting matchup is in San Francisco, where Julio Urias is set to make his season debut against Matt Moore and the Giants....

I’ll restrain myself from the overused pun, but Mike Fiers has been great in his past two starts – 14 innings, 20 strikeouts, three runs, two wins – and he faces a weak Phillies offense. Also, Jake Arrieta is an intriguing pick. He’s been pitching better lately, and the White Sox have been struggling mightily with a 1-9 record in their past 10 games. As we’ve said before, price is always a big factor when picking any DFS player, but sometimes simply having the “best” pitcher can be worth it, especially if it’s a night when you can find a bunch of good value hitters. We have some high game totals tonight that I know I’ll be targeting with multiple roster builds in GPPs. There’s only so much basketball left as we enter the last month of the regular season, so I like to reward myself this time of year after I’ve met my DFS goals. Tonight I’m using RotoQL to help me build a few extra GPP lineups to try and hit it big before the season ends....
These guys are the bell cows that carry your team. It’s easy to pick one of Ezekiel Elliott, David Johnson, DeMarco Murray, Melvin Gordon and LeSean McCoy every week, but finding at least one more high-upside RB is key in all contests. We have a few suggestions, including going back to the well on one very disappointing elite fantasy RB, Todd Gurley. Of course, there’s more to DFS lineup building than running backs....
With three matchups on the board, we find it is easiest to pick out the top producers and values, as there are far fewer variables involved and less ways things can go wrong for your lineup picks. It doesn’t hurt that all three games are being played in domed stadiums this year, either. So, our advice is to load up and play on the greatest day of the year....
