Gane enters Saturday’s interim UFC heavyweight championship bout with his first opportunity to grab gold in the promotion after a lengthy and successful Muay Thai career, but he faces a difficult task as he opposed UFC heavyweight stalwart Derrick Lewis in Houston on Saturday.

The Frenchman has been on a tear since his first UFC fight in 2019, and he very clearly believes in balance: Of his nine MMA victories, three have come by way of knockout, three by submission and three by decision.

UFC 265 purse, prize money

Per Sports Payouts, Derrick Lewis is guaranteed to make $500,000, up to $1 million for Saturday night’s fight, with a cut from PPV buys. 

Gane is scheduled to to make $400,000 up to $800,000 with a PPV share, as well.
