Hamlin and Patrick had a widely publicized confrontation after the Budweiser Duel qualifying races at Daytona after Hamlin hit Patrick late in the race, causing her to spin. The two drivers had a heated and lengthy argument on pit road, and then put the incident behind them.
Hamlin’s motorhome apparently sustained only minor damage.
