On Wednesday, July 6, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 51, took to the platform to tease their collaboration. “Who’s excited for my shoot with @samisheen tomorrow!” she wrote. “Also, a bit nervous! Send me some love!!! If I can get Wi-Fi, I will try and go live from there tomorrow.”
Sam, 18, who goes by Sami on the site, shared a post of her own. “As you know, I’m shooting with my mom soon @deniserichards,” the Los Angeles native said. “If you tip in, I’ll make sure to send you a extra special and sweet video from both of us.”
The posts immediately prompted concerned comments from fans. “As a mom of two daughters, I find this very disturbing … I love my girls but c’mon … I’m so grossed out!” one person wrote, according to The Mirror. Another agreed, adding: “Ummm NO! Who the hell does that with their child?! That’s wildly inappropriate and disgusting.”
A third, however, found it empowering. “Iconic!!! I love the fact that after you received all the negative backlash for supporting your daughter for joining OnlyFans … you ended up making your own account!! #bossladySHIET #QUEEN.”
OnlyFans’ website states it “allows” creators “to monetize their content while developing authentic relationships with their fanbase.” Over the years, however, the company has gained a reputation for its NSFW content.
Richards created an account following a public dispute with her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, over their daughter’s decision to join the platform. “I do not condone this,” the Two and a Half Men alum, who was married to Richards from 2002 to 2006, told E! News. “But since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity.”
The 56-year-old said: “She is 18 years old now and living with her mother. This did not occur under my roof.”
In response, Richards told People the teen’s decision “wasn’t based on whose house she lives in.”
“All I can do as a parent is guide her and trust her judgment,” she continued. “But she makes her own choices.”
The mom of three, who shares daughter Lola Sheen with Charlie and has a daughter Eloise, doubled down on her opinion in a lengthy Instagram comment.
“Lots of negative comments on my social this past week. I have to say, I wish I had the confidence my 18 yr old daughter has,” she defended. “And I also can’t be judgmental of her choices. I did Wild Things and Playboy, quite frankly her father shouldn’t be either.
“And to be able to ignore the negativity at her age? It took me many years & I still sometimes struggle. I’m in awe of her ability to be able to shut out the noise. Because it can destroy you.”
