He had three posts all within the same hour that pertained to truths and lies. What’s not clear is what exactly Cousins is trying to prove with the posts. Sacramento didn’t include any information in its press release, but reports say Cousins was suspended for yelling at coach George Karl during a timeout in Wednesday’s game.

Considering there’s video evidence, it seems more than likely that’s what led to his suspension. But the reason for why he was yelling may be the reason for Cousins’ posts on Instagram. The Vertical reported, per its league sources, “the reason for DeMarcus Cousins’ tirade on coach George Karl was the Sacramento Kings star’s belief that his coach hadn’t done enough to defend him to referees in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.”

In addition, The Vertical reports “Cousins continued to vent at Karl in the locker room after the game and later got into a heated discussion with vice president of basketball operations and general manager Vlade Divac.”

It’s possible Cousins saw this report and felt like some of it wasn’t portrayed accurately. It’s also possible these Instagram posts were directed at something else entirely, but the timing certainly is questionable.
