When asked how long the freshman would be out, McKillop replied, “Hopefully not long. Tyshawn Taylor had the same injury for Kansas a few years ago and came back in the same week.”
The injury came in Saturday’s 89-63 loss to Richmond. Gibbs was sidelined in Davidson’s 77-60 win over Dayton on Tuesday.
Gibbs is Davidson’s second-leading scorer and assist leader. He is averaging 15.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists this season.
Davidson visits George Mason on Saturday at 7 p.m. E.T.
