Even if it wasn’t technically a date (i. e. a party, a chance meeting at a bar, a work event, etc. ), if a guy wants to see you again, he’ll get in touch with you soon afterward. Make sure he has your contact info so he can get in touch!
He might say, “I had a blast with you the other night” or “That was really fun! I had a great time with you. ”
He could just as easily not bring up something that happened on your date. He could say, “Remember when you tried to order gabagool like you were in The Sopranos? That was absolutely hilarious!” He might also say, “I’ll never forget spilling the popcorn all over myself. It was my crowning moment. ”
If he starts liking some of your old pictures, then you know he’s thinking about you and exploring your profile.
If he’s asking you a bunch of questions about your life, then he’s trying to get to know you better. He may really like you. Even if you’re just sending funny memes to each other, the point is you’re still talking even after your date!
For instance, if you say, “I had a lot of fun the other night” and he texts back, “Me too! That was such a great movie!!” and adds a few emojis, then he really means it. Dry, single-word responses are a sign that he’s being nice but really isn’t feeling it. You may want to back off a bit.
That doesn’t mean he won’t be playful or flirty. But if all he talks about is sex, then that may be all he wants.
He might say, “Lucky me, I’ve got Saturday night and Sunday afternoon off. First time in a while!” If he’s super busy, he may tell you something like, “I’ve got this crazy assignment that’s got me working every day this weekend” he might follow up with, “Maybe when I have a day off we can get together?”
For example, if you’re at dinner, the date is going really well, and he says, “If you like burgers, we should go to the new spot across town for our next date” then all you need to do is say yes if you want! He may follow up after your first date and say, “Do you have any ideas for a second date?” then have some fun picking out your next date spot if you’re interested in seeing him again.
Sending flowers after the first or second date may be a bit too much for some people, but if you’re into it, who cares?
After your date, he might say, “This was great. Can I see you again?” He may also reach out later and say, “I had a great time and I’d love to see you again if you’d like. ”
