The 29-year-old running back, who underwent elbow surgery in June, has not played since. NFL salary cap expert Joel Corry reported Sunday the team has paid McFadden’s full salary to date. McFadden is set to earn a base salary of $1.25 million this year.

McFadden, who rushed for 1,089 yards last season, says he is ready to return. In his absence, rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott leads the NFL in rushing, and backup Alfred Morris has played well, too.
McFadden would be an attractive trade target before the Nov. 1 trade deadline.
