Negreanu became eligible for Hall of Fame voting for the very first time this year after turning 40 over the summer. He becomes the second ever player to be inducted at age 40; joining the legendary David “Chip” Reese. With close to 40 career wins, 168 cashes and close to $30M in total earnings, Kid Poker was a shoe-in first-ballot Hall of Famer … and he has no plans on retiring anytime soon:

This year’s class will also include world-renowned tournament poker director Jack McClelland, 63, who will be inducted alongside Negreanu. McClelland is best know for his work at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Those familiar with the first few years of the World Poker Tour on television will remember McClelland as one of the tournament directors calling the action from the table, along with Linda Johnson.
This year’s Poker Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2014 inside the original home of the World Series of Poker, Binion’s Gambling Hall in downtown Las Vegas. The ceremony and dinner will be located inside the Longhorn Room - originally Benny’s Bullpen - where the first ever WSOP Main Event final table was played.
