It was the Luka Doncic show at Footprint Center as he torched the Suns for 27 first-half points, matching their entire team’s first-half total.
He finished with 35 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals on 12-of-19 shooting from the field and 6-of-11 from the 3-point line
Spencer Dinwiddie added 30 points off the bench, while Jalen Brunson finished with 24 points, six rebounds and two assists in the win.
Around the league, NBA players — past and present — led by the Grizzlies’ Ja Morant and Atlanta’s Trae Young, were in awe of Doncic and the Mavericks’ impressive showing.
