Daily Fantasy Hockey Strategy
David Backes, C, Blues. Backes was moved back to the top line with Steen and Tarasenko on Monday and responded with two goals and an assist. His price has not yet caught up on DK where he’s a great value.
Jamie Benn, LW, Stars. Benn has hit the rarely seen five-figure price tag on FD, so he’s probably not an option there. But he’s the Star to pay up for on DK. Buffalo is weaker defensively down their right side, so Benn on the left wing could do some damage.
Kyle Palmieri, RW, Devils. Palmieri trails only Cammalleri among NJ top six forwards in points per 60, and Palmieri gets the benefit of avoiding the Giordano/Brodie pairing. He’s very cheap on both sites but almost insanely cheap on FD.
Shea Weber, D, Predators. Defensemen are a bit tough today. Of the teams I’m targeting, few have obviously valuable D-men that join the forwards I like on the PP. Weber isn’t really a value anywhere, but he’s not overpriced either.
