Wednesday looks like the day of value pitching. There are at least five cheap, not-quite-aces I’d be willing to roll with today in tournaments (more on those picks below) along with five bona fide aces if you’d rather pay up in cash games. All this means there are a lot of good pitchers going today, so offense could be at a premium and worth a higher investment today.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at today’s starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we’ll also have daily fantasy baseball hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck!

Daily fantasy baseball picks

Splurge: Jose Fernandez, Marlins vs. D-backs. As far as aces go, Fernandez ($10,800 on FD; $11,200 on DK) comes at a slight discount today, especially as the SP5 on FanDuel. If you’re not willing to go this high on DK, I’d go with Corey Kluber ($10,100) instead.

Sell: Felix Hernandez on FD, Stephen Strasburg on DK. Because of the tremendous depth and value at pitcher today, I don’t see the edge in paying for the most expensive option. That would rule out Felix on FD ($11,500) and Stras on DK ($11,600).

Save: Aaron Sanchez, Blue Jays vs. Rangers. Don’t love the matchup, but I do love the strikeout upside and win potential that Sanchez ($7,100 on FD; $6,400 on DK) brings at a cheap price. Perfect GPP pitcher.
