Saves Sleepers
Bruce Rondon finished off the Tigers’ 6-0 victory on Saturday, tossing a perfect inning and striking out one. Rondon hadn’t pitched since Sept. 1, so he was likely just “getting some work in.” Alex Wilson pitched the eighth. Rondon will likely get the call the next time the Tigers have a save chance.
Kevin Jepsen allowed his first run since Aug. 2, but he still picked up his sixth save for the Twins. Jepsen wil continue to serve as Minnesota’s closer until Glen Perkins (back) is ready to rejoin the team.
Weather Watch
It’s going to be another clear day around the league. Enjoy it!
