Saves Sleepers

  • D-backs closer Brad Ziegler was not with the team Tuesday following the birth of his child. It’s unclear when he’ll rejoin the club, but Daniel Hudson is expected to handle save chances while Ziegler is away.

  • Angels reliever Joe Smith (ankle) expects to be available Wednesday and should fill in for closer Huston Street, who’s sidelined with a groin injury.

Check our MLB Closer Depth Chart for potential changes.

Weather Watch

More bad weather on tap for Wednesday. There’s a 95-percent chance of rain in New York for Red Sox-Yankees, and a 60-percent chance of rain in Philadelphia for Mets-Phillies. There’s also a 50-percent chance of rain in Atlanta for Nationals-Braves and roughly 40-percent chances in Baltimore for Jays-Orioles (doubleheader) and Pittsburgh for Cardinals-Pirates. Expect some delays and maybe more rainouts today, so be careful setting your daily fantasy baseball lineups in advance.
