Saturday’s MLB schedule features 16 games, including a doubleheader between the Blue Jays and Yankees in New York, weather permitting. Game 1 of that double-dip starts off Saturday’s action at 1:05 p.m. ET along with two other games; Game 2 is slated for 4:35. Rockies closer John Axford turned in his ninth straight scoreless performance on Friday. Most people expected him to eventually relinquish the Rockies closer job when he regained in last month, but it looks like Axford will finish the year in the ninth inning for Colorado.

Get ready for more rain (and possible rainouts) Saturday. Here are the games that could be threatened by rain: Royals-Orioles in Baltimore (90-percent chance of rain); Brewers-Pirates in Pittsburgh (80 percent); Blue Jays-Yankees in N.Y. (75-percent chance of rain for both games); Cubs-Phillies in Philadelphia (70 percent); Tigers-Indians in Cleveland (55 percent); and Cardinals-Reds in Cincinnati (30 percent).
