Clemson coach Dabo Swinney admitted Clemson was interested in Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, but apparently the chemistry was lacking, saying they “dated him for a while. Didn’t get past first base with him.”

There doesn’t appear to be any hard feelings, though. Even though Clemson and Cook never sealed the deal, the sophomore from Miami has become a force for FSU, rushing for 1,037 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this season.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are currently No. 3 in the AP poll and have a clear shot at the College Football Playoff.
Cook and the Seminoles will travel to Clemson on Saturday in a game that will determine which program takes control of the ACC.
