2019 Disney Legends Ceremony - 1:30 p.m. ET
An awards ceremony for those special few who embody the Company’s unique creative spirit best personified by its founders. Hosted by Disney CEO Bob Iger, the Legends Ceremony includes Christina Aguilera, Wing T. Chao, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, James Earl Jones, Bette Midler, Kenny Ortega, Barnette Ricci, Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer, Ming-Na Wen and composer, Hans Zimmer.
Behind the Art of Disney Costuming - 7:00 p.m. ET
Rather than a stage event, Behind the Art of Disney Costuming presents a behind-the-scenes tour of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit on the D23 Expo show floor. The Archives exhibit includes costumes from Beauty & the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Into the Woods, Aladdin, Mary Poppins Returns, Tron: Legacy, Frozen on Broadway, Hocus Pocus!, Chronicles of Narnia, The Santa Clause, the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and both 2015 and 1997’s made-for-TV Cinderella.

Women of Impact: Meet the Nat Geo Explorers Changing the World - 1:00 p.m. ET
“Meet the extraordinary women on the front lines of exploration, conservation and storytelling,” Disney’s livestream description says. “They pilot submarines, get up close with lions, tigers, and bears—and even breakdance! See what it takes to become the next game-changing Explorer!”
Marvel Comics: Marvel’s 80th Anniversary - 8:30 p.m. ET
The history of Marvel, presented by Marvel Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. Other Marvel events scheduled for the D23 Expo include Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Friday’s Disney+ Showcase, which won’t be livestreamed.

Heroines of the Disney Galaxies Presented by BoxLunch - 1:00 p.m. ET
Ashley Eckstein, Disney superfan and voice of Star Wars: The Clone Wars hero Ahsoka Tano, hosts this “celebration of some of the most inspiring and empowering female characters from the worlds of Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and more!”
The Art of Disney Storytelling - 6:00 p.m. ET
The writers, producers and animators who built Disney “discuss Walt Disney’s impact on their careers and the entertainment industry, highlighting the ways they leverage those lessons to spark creativity today.” Panels hosts John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh Stamos will be joined on-stage by Beauty and the Beast (1991) producer Don Hahn, head of story for Frozen and Big Hero 6 Paul Briggs, story artist Floyd Norman (Mulan, Toy Story 2), and Disney theme park Imagineer Tony Baxter.
The D23 Expo runs through August 25.
