With no early games scheduled today, we have all 30 MLB teams in action tonight during a big 15-game slate. Keep in mind, the two games that have a threat of postponement based on the early morning forecasts are the Pirates-Cubs at Wrigley Field and Yankees-Royals at Kauffman Stadium. The most obvious stack of the day is in Motown, where the Tigers will face lefty Jon Niese. Expect to see a lot of Detroit players in early-slate cash games. A Marlins stack against Steven Matz is better suited for FanDuel and DraftKings GPP tournaments since only Giancarlo Stanton is an obvious play. If you’re looking for an even more under-the-radar stacking opportunity, try some struggling Twins players against Jose Quintana....

We were still able to dig through the numbers and find several studs worth paying up for and more than a few matchups that provide stacking opportunities and potential values plays for FanDuel and DraftKings contests. MORE: Fantasy football sleepers Overall, this looks like a good day to use solid lefthanded bats (especially from the Rockies, Royals, Reds and Padres). We’re trusting that most DFS players know that they should be careful with lefthanded batters against lefthanded pitching and that many righthanded hitters, while often better against lefties, still have plenty of value against most righthanded pitchers....

Saturday features several aces, which always makes for interesting decisions. The afternoon slate is headlined by Clayton Kershaw vs. Madison Bumgarner. Kershaw will be hard to fit into DFS lineups at his high price. For the evening slate, expect high ownership for Padres and Rockies hitters at Coors Field....

You can bet DFS players will be even more eager to use Reds and Rockies in Coors Field after a 19-run game on Monday. Today’s tilt between those teams also features one horrific starting pitcher for Cincinnati (Jon Moscot) and a Colorado pitcher (Jon Gray) who has been terrible at home. Of course, the Reds-Rockies game is just one of several with a bad pitching matchup. Today’s pitching slate is awfully top-heavy, and with higher-priced pitchers comes the need to find some cheap value plays so you can afford guys like Jose Fernandez and Jake Arrieta....

There are plenty of other games with higher projected point totals, and DFS owners shouldn’t be afraid to spend up at shooting guard and center and look for values at the forward spots.
