Earnhardt was leading on Lap 123 when he had a tire problem that sent him hard into the wall. The impact damaged the right side of Earnhardt’s car and sent him to the garage. Jeff Gordon, teammate of Johnson and Earnhardt, was involved in a crash earlier in the race but was able to continue....

Earnhardt set off a wild celebration Sunday night by winning the Daytona 500 to snap a 55-race winless streak dating back to 2012. A Dalmatian nearly broke a world record for puppies delivered at once, birthing 16 little ones last week. Brittni Turner, a veterinarian at the Fredericksburg Veterinary Center in Texas who helped deliver the puppies, told Newsweek that as Luna the Dalmatian’s final trimester came to an end, there was no clear indication as to how many puppies she was carrying. “When Luna was in her last week of pregnancy, we took a radiograph at the clinic, which is pretty standard when dogs are pregnant to know if you can count how many [pups] are in there,” Turner explained....
