The Morning Consult/Politico poll has measured voters’ support for Barrett four times since September 26, when Trump officially nominated her to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Thirty-two percent of Democratic voters in the most recent poll said they support Barrett’s confirmation, an 18 percent increase since polling began. The latest poll was conducted October 16 through 18, with 1,994 registered voters from both the Democratic and Republican parties....

A new Gallup survey released Friday found just 18 percent of the public approves of the job Congress is doing—the lowest amount in more than a year. Just last spring, the approval rating of lawmakers on Capitol Hill hit a 16-year high of 36 percent. The legislative body’s approval rating fell five points between December and January alone. The decline was largely fueled by Democrats, which reported a 10-point drop in congressional job approval in just that one month....

Newsweek previously reported that Democrats had spent at least $43,885,000 in six states to boost far-right election deniers who were running against more moderate Republicans. Of the GOP candidates that Democrats funneled money toward, more than half won their primaries and will be on the ballot Tuesday. All six of those candidates are also projected to lose their races.
