Topeka Police Department (TPD) officers arrested 18-year-old Devin Brokmann on March 16 after a woman alerted them that her card had been used to buy a subscription without her knowledge, according to NBC-affiliate KSNT. The outlet said the woman had visited a Dairy Queen in Topeka with kids for lunch and claimed the drive-thru cashier took a while to come back with her debit card. Cook had popped up on the Vikings injury report Thursday with a chest injury that he said occurred last week against the Broncos and limited him in practice. Indian Creek Reservoir, 30 miles southwest of Lake Tahoe, is one such location where harmful algal blooms (HABs) have been confirmed. The California Water Quality Monitoring Council has also detected a red tide HAB in San Francisco Bay, as well as “dangerous” levels of algal toxins in Clear Lake, Lake Crowley, and Bridgeport reservoir. Algal blooms are caused by rapid growth in a population of algae (cyanobacteria, dinoflagellates or diatoms) living in a body of water, often caused by increased nutrient content in the water or by increased temperatures....
