The Pirates are going against a rookie making his first MLB start, and the Rangers are facing a veteran whose fastball sits in the low-80s. Oh, and there’s a game in Colorado. Get ready to load up on the following lineup picks in FanDuel and DraftKings contests....

On a day like today, you can basically throw traditional strategy out the window. There’s going to be plenty of offense in FanDuel and DraftKings contests, so you can’t miss on more than one of your picks. Fortunately, with so many mediocre-to-bad pitchers on the hill, you can find stacking opportunities all over the league. If you hit on the right stack, you could really be in the money....

With four lefties among the starters in the four early games, there are some nice potential stacks, including the A’s and Indians. The evening games feature stacking opportunities from the Red Sox, Orioles, Nationals, Marlins, Pirates, Astros, Rays, Dodgers and both teams (Reds and Rockies) playing in Colorado. In other words, you can build your team around a lot of different value plays tonight, so expect to see many people paying up for an ace and going with sleepers in their lineups....

But that’s OK. It’s not like we’re dealing with a bunch of aces; rather, we’re simply dealing with guys like Ross Stripling, Junior Guerra, and Jhoulys Chacin. You can feel comfortable stacking lefties against them or simply going with solid righthanded bats. They’re not scary. We also have guys like James Shields and Ivan Nova, both of whom were shelled by lefties last year and are getting shelled by righties this year....

Brace yourself: These rankings aren’t pretty. That’s somewhat expected on a light, nine-game slate, but come on. After the relative “safety” of Danny Salazar and John Lackey, it gets dicey quickly.
