Keeping with what we’ve been doing over the past few weeks, we are going to be focusing on tonight’s main slate of games, which is the 10-game evening slate that has a roster lock of 7:05 pm ET. For those playing the early slate, you’ll undoubtedly want to have some Coors Field exposure if you’re doing cash games, but if you want to go for the big score, I don’t mind fading that game....

There are 12 games on the main slates for DraftKings and FanDuel contests. This Playbook will not include the three late games. The sneaky stack of the night might be the Braves, as they draw a very exploitable matchup against Matt Cain of the Giants. Finally, talented lefty Steven Matz of the Mets makes only his second start of the year against the red-hot Dodgers. Fortunately, there are other good options. Jake Odorizzi gets a nice home matchup against the Royals, and while he might not be “as good” as Zack Greinke or Gerrit Cole, the fact they’re facing each other in a tough pitchers environment in Arizona gives Odorizzi a slight edge. Unfortunately, he’s playing in one of the two day games, so he might not be a feasible option. Marco Estrada, Michael Fulmer, and Dylan Bundy also look good, though strikeouts are a bit of an issue for the latter two....

We have a lot of ballpark influence here tonight. The Mets and the Rockies will square off in Coors Field, while Chase Field, Globe Life Park, Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park and, quite possibly my favorite under-the-radar ballpark, Miller Park (with the roof closed) are also in play tonight. It’s a good day to be a left-handed hitter, as there quite a few right-handed starters going who really struggle against opposite-handed hitters. Guys like Matt Wisler, Eddie Butler, Chris Young, Steven Wright and Marco Estrada all have xFIPs north of 5.00 against left-handed hitters since the start of last year. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones refused to speculate Sunday night on Garrett’s future. As for the weekly radio show Jerry Jones and his son, Cowboys executive vice-president Stephen Jones, appear on, they have cancelled this week’s appearance. Jerry and his son are now set to meet with Garrett on Tuesday morning, according to multiple Dallas-Forth Worth media outlets, including this report in the Dallas Morning News....
