Department of Transport officials said the emergency powers would lift restrictions on fuel transport by road to keep fuel lines open and prevent shortages in the wake of the Friday ransomware attack. Pro-Trump protesters gathered in Freedom Plaza, near the White House, on Tuesday to back the president’s baseless claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him.
