Today’s DFS MLB Playbook will cover the 10-game evening slate that will have a roster lock of 7:05 pm ET. We have another night where weather doesn’t look like it will play much of a factor, but I always want to warn everyone to take a quick glance at the forecasts prior to roster lock just to be safe. Week 2 NFL DFS: DK cash lineup Let’s take a look at today’s best daily fantasy baseball picks below....

Wood has been more dominant lately, but he has just two quality starts in six outings as a starter. Contrast that with deGrom, who has five in eight starts. It appears that deGrom has a slightly better chance to go deeper into games, which is why we rank him ahead of Wood. If you don’t want one of the top three, there are plenty of solid pitchers to choose from, including high-K guys like Charlie Morton, Nate Karns, and Trevor Bauer....

Jake Arrieta and Carlos Martinez both jump out as having great matchups, but Brent Suter isn’t far behind, especially if Miguel Sano (hand) is out against for the Twins. Dylan Bundy is the type of boom-or-bust guy who make or break a lineup in a hurry, and while he’s actually been better at home than on the road this year, he does get a park upgrade pitching in Angel Stadium....

All but two games on Saturday’s slate of games begin in the evening, and pitching-wise, you won’t miss much from the starters in the afternoon games (Cardinals-Cubs and Padres-Giants). Jon Lester isn’t the worst pick, but he’s 0-1 in three outings against the Cardinals this year with one quality start, and trusting an inconsistent Adam Wainwright against the hot-hitting Cubs is a bold strategy. For the evening schedule, David Price has been strong since mid-June and is the best pick....

We only have nine games in Monday’s main slate, and while there are top pitchers available, the value bats are almost non-existent. As I have said a thousand times, small slates like this are not good for cash games. For me, I am all about the tournaments and qualifiers tonight. In order to get to where we want to be, though, we’ll need to plan our attack. Fortunately for y’all, I’ve been working on that for the past six hours....

At the time of this writing, the two games that may have rain in play are Marlins-Nationals and Twins-Indians. The rain should hold off until later in the day in Washington, so in reality, the main game that’s in trouble there is the seconnd game in the doubleheader. As for the Twins-Indians, I’ve looked at numerous forecasts, and it appears the worst that we should get is some light rain throughout....

Of note is the potential return of Brandon Knight tonight, who’s been out since Jan. 19 because of a groin injury. Suns coach Earl Watson has already said that Knight will come off the bench when he returns, so he’s not worth a roster spot yet, but his presence will afford less minutes to others in the Suns backcourt – specifically Ronnie Price and Archie Goodwin. These guys are the bell cows that carry your team. It’s easy to pick one of Ezekiel Elliott, David Johnson, DeMarco Murray, Melvin Gordon and LeSean McCoy every week, but finding at least one more high-upside RB is key in all contests. We have a few suggestions, including going back to the well on one very disappointing elite fantasy RB, Todd Gurley. Of course, there’s more to DFS lineup building than running backs....
